Evan Roy Dahlke (1970- ) Painter - USA

Evan Roy Dahlke, a talented artist born in Riverside, California, has always had a passion for creativity. From a young age, Evan expressed his artistic talents through drawing, painting, and playing bass guitar in various bands. As he entered his twenties, Evan expanded his artistic endeavors by delving into poetry alongside his continued exploration of painting and music.

In his thirties, Evan embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, combining his diverse skills as a decorative contractor to transform homes into magnificent works of art. This unique venture allowed him to merge his talents and create truly immersive experiences for his clients.

In 2007, Evan received a suggestion from a client that would forever change the course of his artistic career. Encouraged to transfer his decorative finishes onto a canvas, he created his first abstract painting. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of Evan's journey as a professional artist, creating captivating abstract pieces for private clients.

In 2009, Evan achieved a significant milestone when he had his first public showing in Redlands, California. The positive response to his artwork propelled him further, and shortly after, he became the featured artist at the prestigious Artist Eye Laguna Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. Over the next ten years, Evan's artistic prowess landed him exhibitions in other renowned galleries including Los Angeles, Chelsea (New York), San Francisco, and Fort Lauderdale.

Evan's art is a vibrant reflection of the colors and energy he perceives in life. Inspired by road trips with his muse and wife, Adda Christine, he captures the beauty of sunsets and translates them onto canvas in a unique style he calls "Abscape." His abstract paintings draw from the depth of his life experiences, each telling its own story, narrated through layers of color and texture.

While Evan occasionally uses traditional canvas for certain artworks, it is his wood panels, meticulously crafted to resemble gallery-wrapped canvases, that have gained immense popularity among collectors. These panels serve as the perfect medium for Evan to manifest his artistic vision and provide viewers with an immersive experience of his vibrant and evocative creations.

In 2020, Evan relocated to Hoquiam, Washington, along with Adda, embarking on a fresh new journey in the Pacific Northwest. Currently, Evan's captivating artwork can be witnessed at Studio 58 in Pacific Beach, Washington, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in his vibrant world of abstract expression.

With his boundless creativity, Evan Roy Dahlke continues to captivate audiences with his unique blend of colors, textures, and storytelling, leaving an indelible mark on the artistic landscape.
